Without any CEL/MIL it is hard to say where to look. If you had a Scanner that can test for live data while driving you might be able to tell what is going on at the time the car shuts off. Also most them Scanners would have a Saved data area where it can or you can set up to freeze frame the system when the car dies.

I guess here is something to question. Does your CEL come on when you start the car for testing the light? (May be bad bulb if no light when starting car)

When it shuts off, Does it shot off all power to the car or everything stays on just car shuts down?

What was the TEMP of the car when this happens? Could it maybe reading a OVER heat reading and going into protection?

Does the car once in park or N start back up and drive on again with ease?

It did the first couple times but now it won't start all the lights come on but in the radio but it won't turn over but it was dying while driving all the lights go out everything and it started back up before now nothing just lights?

 

CEL always comes on when starting the car, power only cuts to engine and not accessories, it's as if I turned the key off and left the doors closed. Radio etc. stays on.

 

Temp gauge shows 185-200 and car starts right up after stalling.

 

I would check your ign switch and grounds to the bcm. I think the issue is in that area. However it's hard to say without car to test. Could be short to ign under hood somewhere as well.

Power steering pump should not kill the engine.

Could be a fuel issue though, if your car is a model that has a fuel filter that is not in the tank would replace it.

 

I've tried driving with my spare key and so far I haven't stalled, gonna keep using it and see what happens this week. My mechanic uncle suggested that it's either the mass airflow sensor or the ignition according to his own research.

Welcome to the forums. You've posted in an old thread as if you were in that old conversation. That's okay except you won't get enough help because no two incidents are alike - or for the same year/model and and upgrades.

Strongly suggest you start a new thread of your own. Indicate model year and model LS LT etc. Write your actual observations.
