I have been doing a lot of hunting around changed my stereo once already to a 7 inch touch screen loved the look but now that is just an older look compared to more modern vehicles. Well after some shopping around and messages with many different companies i have found out that the Tesla style units made for the Yukon, Seirra, and Avalanche from 2007 to 2012 willl fit in the impala of 2006 to 2013. so in the near future i will be changing to this style cause it replaces the heat/ac unit and stereo and makes all that including heated seats if you have them all touch screen and if you have wifi by ways of your phone or a obd II unit from your mobile company you can use items like pandora and netflix on the unit too. here is a pic of my current and what my plans are to be once done.

Sounds pretty sweet if it all works out like that. I'm curious how a digital signal from the touch screen will work with the HVAC controls. Hopefully you plan to do a write up and take pictures.
thanks for the find op - is this 100% a sure fit? and are you talking that it uses wifi or that it uses bluetooth? i stream my music majority of the time via bluetooth.
I will be doing a full post as soon as I get the unit and start installing it. The hvac you actually open up and attach the chip with the plugs and all to the unit and it instead of manual knows and buttons would work touch screen just as if you replaced the knobs style with the full digital style from a Silverado. And for the second comment I was told by the company the you can use wifi cause it is basically a tablet conversion but your phone would connect via Bluetooth. If you get a wifi obd2 unit from your cell company you can then use wifi and add things like Google maps and Netflix to the unit.
