Can you play music with a Bluetooth connection to your phone? When my Bluetooth connects, the music on my iPhone will pop up on my phone but when I press play nothing comes through the speakers. I have been using my aux cord but if I can just use Bluetooth that would be great I have a 2014 imp limited ls

Bluetooth is phone-only in the 8th gen Impalas. No way to play music through the bluetooth.

I bought this,
A female 12volt socket, a right angle flat cable aux cord, and a female to female 3.5MM adapter and hardwired it all behind the dash/console. Mounted the Bluetooth control on dash. I use my phone on the factory Bluetooth and use my old phone with all my music/data on this Bluetooth unit and I can stream, pause, forward/back, etc....also does great with Pandora.
Next is installing my PAC loc and grabbing the rap from the driver door jamb for my sub amp install since I am happy overall with the factory Bose system.

This one looked a lot better as far as finish but I only wanted to spend $30 max for everything and my other option allowed that with the extra stuff I had to buy to make it work.
Yeah, you heard that right it only cost $30 for the setup I installed and took all of 20minutes to do, a novice may take 1hr or so probably.

I installed a pioneer with Bluetooth everything with Pandora control in my 96. I looked into the modified stock options and they would only play music.
If I were to buy a out of market car stereo with enabled bluetooth and install it in my 2014 chevy impala LS would it work with music and calls?
