Headlight issues

I have a 2008 impala lt 3.5. My headlights(high and low beam), and my front turn signals/hazard lights stopped working. No lights in the front work what so ever. My running lights and brake lights work in the back. As well as my hazards in the back. I noticed a problem with my driver side headlight a few weeks ago. I would be driving and it would go out if I hit a bump. Then sooner or later it would come back on randomly. Eventually all this lead to all the lights in the front to stop working. What could be the problem???

Check the harness behind the drivers side headlight, connections can get weak behind it and that extends to the passenger side.

Remove the driver side headlamp assembly and inspect the wiring harness and its connectors. Look for corroded or damaged connectors and/or wiring - especially pinched wiring that may have been damaged when the assembly was removed and re installed.

The assembly is removed by pulling up on the white plastic tab at the top, rear of the assembly - then carefully lifting the assembly up and away from the body. Instructions are in your vehicle owner's manual.

If the harness or its connectors are damaged badly and cannot be easily repaired, GM sells a forward lamp wiring harness (you don't have to buy the entire front body wiring harness). However, I suspect you will find a loose, damaged or corroded connector.
