If it is in warranty would take it to the dealer. Aside from that, don't know if disconnecting the battery would reset anything, but might be worth a try. Being that you had multiple issues electronic related, would be doubtful it is in the switch itself.

Have you had any side detection issues with the vehicle lately? I'm saying this because I've seen many cars not start due to the side detection modules shorting out internally and this takes out the vehicle communication systems. The only thing you can do to test this theory out is to go under the drivers side rear corner of your car and unplug the module that is in the facia (this is because the passenger side module runs threw the left one) and then see if the car starts with the button on the dash. If the car starts, either the left and/or right side modules are corroded/shorted. If this doesn't work hopefully the dealer can find the issue.

You'll have to get underneath your car and behind the drivers side rear tire. Between the tire and the corner of the bumper there will be a small black box with a wire harness connector into it ( you may have to look next to the muffler or just above it) this box/module is the radar/side detection module.

This post on an Acadia forum, post #3 , that has a picture of where the module is located. It's in a similar location on the Impala.

Both of my fobs started acting up in January when the car was 3.5 years old. Push button start wouldn't work without putting them in a little pocket in the front of the console. A message on the dash would say remote not detected. Dealer installed new batteries in both free of charge, and everything is right again.

This is an ongoing problem with several GM vehicles. Corrosion sets in on these modules and once one of the modules goes out your car will go crazy. Even to the point of not starting. These sensors are the main Communication between several other modules in the vehicle. ECM PCM BCM all will be effected if this happens. The Blind spot monitors are located on the rear bumper. And are attached to the inside of the rear bumper. The bumper will need to be removed to access these modules. Parts will have to be replaced with GM dealer parts. Most dealers can have them with in 1 day. Hope this helps. This link should help https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2019/MC-10160088-9999.pdf

I have a 2015 impala ltz. First the communication screen in the car went black for awhile and the next day it worked. yesterday when trying to start the car, the instrument panel turned on with the radio but the motor didn’t start. After towing to the dealer and them turning off the electrical in the car, the next day they tried and it started. Any ideas.
