2006 SS Wheel Compatibility Question

I guess gone are the days when a 4 3/4 chevy wheel fits any chevy you had in the garage...
I have a 2006 Impala SS, I'm looking for a replacement set of wheels. I know they are 18" with 5x115 bolt pattern but there is a question of compatibility on offset.
I have found a nice set of 2014 Buick Verano wheels that are 18" and have the 5x115 bolt pattern.
Can I use these on my Impala?
Thanks! Duane

GM has definitely started changing around wheel offsets and caliper combinations, among other things, which can complicate wheel changes. There are more than a few reputable online wheel dealers/refinishers who can help you locate the Hollander number for your original wheel as well as that of the wheel you want to use. Utilizing the Hollander numbers, you can generally find the wheel specs (e.g., offsets, etc.) and them make an informed guess. Almost no wheel seller will commit directly to saying that something non-original to a given model is guaranteed to fit.

Your wheel swap might be do-able, just needs you to do a little homework. Good luck and let us know what happens.

2014 Verano wheels, in 18 inch form, are 8Jx18 ET46, 5x115 bolt pattern, 235/45r18

2006 Impala SS wheels are 7Jx18 ET52, 5x115 bolt pattern, 235/50r18

Plugging it into a handy dandy calculator shows that the top of the tire will be 0.5" farther away from the wheel well, the inner sidewall will be 0.24" farther away from the suspension and frame, and the outer sidewall will be 0.24" farther out, and your speedometer will read faster, it will show 60mph @ 57.8mph and 90mph @ 86.7mph.

While it does seem that it should fit, I do not know how it will affect handling characteristics.

Hope this helps.
