Lightbulb LED flood light are said to provide for ‘green energy’, what does that actually mean?

For the novice, providing for green energy would always mean the lights that contribute towards the environment in a positive way by using less of electrical energy. The less wattage a light fixture consumes, lesser need for electricity will arise and hence less carbon emission by the coal-generated power plants. Also, when you replace any traditional light such as incandescent or halogen or metal-halide with LED flood light, since there is no mercury, there isn’t any solid waste. This is how LED Flood Lights contribute to green and clean energy.

Garage
Spam...... But not a fan of green energy and don't appreciate aoc wanting to ban my cows and make all of us have to walk(not an option when the nearest town is 7 miles away). Take your spam and green energy elsewhere, don't think a forum for gas engine operated cars is quite the right place.

My 6 year constantly asks why. What adults can learn from 5 and 6 year olds, to listen with your ears and mind open. Hard to learn when you don't listen ......

LED or HPS?

What happens to plants without light? Previously it was seen as a bad thing by plant growers and was also attempted to be removed from their lights. However, today is a different story. LED grow lights or HPS are well proven to ignite plants to create defense proteins which lead to better colors, tastes, smells and resistance to diseases. Overall making healthier stronger plants. Let us have a further discussion about do LED or HPS can be more efficient for growing plants.
