WOT-Tuning - TRIFECTA Product Sales & Support

Hi Guys,

This is Michael, Helpdesk Manager / Support Coordinator for Weller OBD Tuning (WOT-Tuning.com). My team is responsible for engaging customers and resellers regarding TRIFECTA’s product offerings.

Some of you may already be familiar with TRIFECTA, but for those who are not, we specialize in total powertrain re-calibration of late model GM vehicles. We currently support 9th generation 3.6L (LFX) Impala, but we will soon be unveiling a new product line for 10th generation Impala HERE on Impalaforums.com. Stay tuned for more info!

While, as a fellow GM enthusiast (I drive a 2014 Buick Regal GS), I am excited to be an active part of the forums and various online communities, please also feel free to consider me your dedicated “go to” TRIFECTA guy on the forums. I'm generally around on the forums, but if you need to summon me all you need to do is send a PM to this account! I will respond as soon as possible.

However, the best way of reaching us for general inquiries about our products, or for support, is via [email protected]. Just send an email to that address with your inquiry and a ticket will automatically be generated for tracking purposes.

Sincerely,

Michael

FYI - This post on the Trifecta forums shows a 30hp increase on a 2012 LFX motor (was a Cadillac, but same motor):

http://www.wot-tuning.com/forums/top...-for-2012-lfx/

Dyno results posted in the thread.

Looks like cost is $400 for the tune.

I wonder if WOT Tuning/Trifecta "tunerlock" their tunes... One of the nice things about the Overkill tune is that you can see exactly what was done and customize it all that you want...

In my opinion, the best option when buying a "mailorder" tune is to just buy the tune files and buy a tuning device (HPTuner, for example) so that you can further customize the tune to your hearts content. Not sure if Trifecta allows this or not...

I would have been very unhappy with the Overkill tune if I wasn't able to modify it to my tastes (in fact I would have most likely just reverted to stock as I really disliked the transmission part of the Overkill tune). Since I had an HPTuner, I just reverted the transmission portion of the tune back to stock and then customized the stock transmission tune to my liking instead.

Just some food for thought....

Hey guys,

Pricing on the packages is going to be changing real soon. So don't get hung up on the pricing as it stands now

Also, keep in mind that the % of people actually willing to use something like HPT to modify their own engine parameters is very very small. Props to you guys for putting in the time to learn all the tables and how to modify all the parameters needed to get a seamless experience on your vehicle.

TRIFECTA calibration products are fully validated and tested. It is a custom calibration intended for stock vehicles. However, we can and will individualize your programming for modifications if needed as we offer diagnostic logging support as well. This isn't a 'canned' what you see is what you get product. TRIFECTA has been around for a long time and we are here to support this platform for the long haul.

We will politely ask that you not discuss other products on the market in our vendors section moving forward. That is best left to a separate discussion thread if you so choose.

We will be actively moderating this section. As I stated in my opening post, we will be launching a new product for the 10th gen Impala here soon as well as revised pricing for our existing products for this platform.

Thanks,
Michael

Are the Trifecta tunes "locked" or are people able to see and customize them as they wish?

Thank you!

TRIFECTA is a remote tuning solution. It is not a self-tuning-solution. We do not provide you software for your to tweak your own settings, no. The only 'power' we give the customer is the ability to disable codes.

Any needed customization after the fact is done by our experienced engineers. You would perform a data log, send it in for review, and then our engineers would revise as necessary or make changes the customer has asked for.

As an FYI, on this forum, the Impala generations are different than elsewhere on the web. You may want to review and adapt your references to the generations in order to reduce confusion.

On this forum:

2006-13 - 8th gen
2014+ - 9th gen

Interesting. Why is that, if you don't mind me asking? By all intents and purposes, it's GM's 10th Gen Impala.

Just trying to understand the forum

At one point, I traced it back, but I can't remember anymore. I believe GM and Wikipedia classify the 58 as gen 1, and 59-60 as gen 2, whereas this forum classifies them all as gen 1, but I can't honestly remember where the difference is. It's one of the early generations though for sure.

Gotcha. Thanks for the info. We base our comments on GM itself. And they market it as the 10th Gen Impala. In any case, thanks for the heads up. We will make sure to use the model years instead of the generation when we reference our products so there is no confusion
