I have a 2001 Chevrolet Impala with a no start problem. I have tried several things, but the only time that it doesnt start is when it is hot out. Sometimes it takes a few times of turning the key with nothing, then the next time it starts, but when it does start, the battery and security lights are on with a locked radio also the entire time I am driving. Please advise? Thanks!
I wanted to explain further - when I said that it wont start when it is hot, I literally meant when it is hot outside. My car does not do this in the winter at all.

Thanks for the answers so far!!

take it to Autozone and have the battery, charging system, and starting system checked. they will probably be able to tell you the problem. Good Luck

On muscle cars this was a common problem becouse the starter solenoid would overheated after it been driving for awhile, and theres not much of a reason why this wouldn't happen to you. If this is happening when you turn the car on to start you'll hear a clicking sound.
