Ok so here's another problem to add to the list. My car is whistling when I accelerate. It won't make the noise in neutral though. My transmission is about to go and my TEP transmission is about 3 weeks away. Hopefully this is coming from the transmission. My car has 83,000 miles. Anyone have an idea where I should start? Or what it might be? Thank you.

p.s. I know it could be many things... Lol

So after leaving work, I just stepped on the gas bringing the rpm's to about 3500 and then it went away. Hmmm, I'll see where this goes i'm sure it wasn't that easy of a fix. Who knows.

Could be a loose intake boot.

" an idea where I should start" ? Did you or someone else do any work on the intake air flow since this whistling started?
Like King said Could be a loose intake boot.
Something on the air intake is not seated or tight.

Thanks for the replys. I'll check it out when I'm getting my new TEP transmission in since right now I'm not getting the noise.
