My ac is blowing air on both sides of the car. On the drivers side it blows cold and on the passangers side it blows hot. I know its the blend-door actuator, but I do not know where to find it in the car or how to removed it. How do I know its broke? They say some times it jams...depends if its opening or closing. Is it suppose to be open for cold or closed?!!?

It's between the blower motor and evaporator. I doubt that is the problem. Go have an ac inspection done at a shop, I bet after you service it, the problem will be solved.

All you need to do to check it is open the glove box, push down on the top back of it so the two little stop tabs release and the glove compartment swings way down.

The actuator in question is right there on the side of the console, within easy reach. There are two screws and a plug with three wires. Leave it plugged in, and grab a 7/32" socket and have at it. Those screws aren't long at all.

It takes a little pull to get the actuator to pop off, but once it does, you'll see the shaft of the blend door sticking out. It's white, and turns really easily by hand.

Start it up and fire up the A/C, set the blower speed to medium low, then turn the blend door shaft by hand either way to see if you get cold air out of the passenger side vents.
If you do, great! Then it IS the actuator. If you want to see if the actuator completely dead, move the hot/cold temp control for the passenger side and watch the socket on the actuator to see if it moves at all.
