Hey guys. First off, I think I posted this in the right place. If I didn't then I am sorry.

I have a 2005 Impala with the plastic wheel covers. I was at my local junkyard today and picked up 4 wheel caps for $20. I bring them home and find out that I can not keep them on unless I buy those old wheels that I got the covers off of or if I possibly drill 3 holes in my wheels for the cap to stay on.

Question: Do I need new wheels or is there a easier way? Thank you guys alot!!!

nope, you need to drill and tap the three holes to keep them on. or you could spend the $75 or so and go on ebay. there is a guy on there who sells fake centercaps that are made for movie cars. they snap on the way the factory hubcaps do and are made of plastic.

Wow I didn't know that! Thanks for the response!

I picked up the metal ones for $5ea. Not a bad deal. I think I will just drill and tap it. Thanks again!
