Ok while taking my air box apart it comes in 2 sections, 1 connecting to the air intake tube, thats connected to the maf sensor and the throttle body, but the 2nd peice is bolted down to the car itself, inside the second peice is this electronic brick looking thing, bolted down into the 2nd piece, im not sure what this is, i would like to run a CAI but this is in the way. is there a way around this? youd prob have to have an impala to know what i was talkin about, it wasnt on my 3.1 grand am or in the 3.8 buick ciara's

That is the probably the PCM. The K&N kits have instruction dealing with this. Ran into the same deal with my wife's old 03 Monte Carlo SS.

Yep, pcm same problem with my 02 Regal. Gutted air box instead with k&n filter.

I'm running a fwi and I just ziptied my pcm down... you can cut up your factory airbox and just keep. The pcm tray there, or I believe, you can purchase a blazer pcm tray that will bolt up to your factory holes
