Is that a minor or major problem? I dont know too much about cars (obviously) and I found a 68 that I wanna buy but the guy said that the valve guides needed to be replaced.

Also I want a 4 door and I have noticed how some have it where when you roll down all windows on 1 side its like 1 long window with no post in the middle. Is that custom or specific to a model?

Thanks for your help.

Valve guides are in the head, You will basicly have to have the heads taken off and rebuilt or buy a set already done and just swap them out.

I believe you are refering to the 4dr Hardtop, I could be wrong.

Heads can run anywhere from $250 up to $2,000 depending on the replacements you're looking at. Check Ebay for rebuilt heads. You can always take yours, get them baked and fluxed (cleaned and checked for cracks) buy a book and rebuild them yourself. Just keep with the tolerances listed in the books and you'll be fine.

As far as the 4 door, it's a 4 door hardtop. No B pillar. Not a custom job, came from the factory that way.
