So there are the various Styles- LS, LT with 1LT or 2LT, LTZ, and of course the SS. 6 passenger vs 5 passenger, and then there is the options that are labeled like:
(KA1) heated driver and front passenger seats
(AG2) front passenger 6-way power seat adjuster
(AM9) flip-and-fold-flat rear seat
(UQ3) Bose premium 8-speaker audio system
(R6J) 1-year subscription of XM Radio
(DD6) inside rearview auto-dimming mirror
(UG1) Universal Home Remote
(DK2) outside heated power-adjustable mirrors
(D81) rear spoiler

and more similar....

Anyone have a good Vin lookup site that would provide the decoded info based on Factory listings? I know the dealer and also it seems the Insurance Companies can use the Vin to tell the listings

GM recycles RPO codes so you need the definitions for your year and model.

I used to occasionally see a GM rep posting on this forum but I haven't seen them posting for a while.

I requested a build sheet for my trucks and Impala from GM with my VIN. They sent me a PDF with all of the regular production options and descriptions for my specific vehicles.

If you have outstanding recalls they will notify you of those as well. They seem to be extremely worried that my original keys don't have that plastic insert. Since I don't hang everything but the kitchen sink from my keys I don't really care to have them mangle the original keys.

I am shopping for used 2010, 2009, and 2008 mostly. But my search has been anything 2007 up to 2014 depending on miles, condition and of course options (8th Gen body versions only- so is 2014 still 8th Gen??)

I'd be a little afraid of sending them 3 or 4 Vins and they maybe would add me to the recalls listing for cars I have not even purchased yet. Still get the key recall notice on my 2006 and before that my 7th Gen. I also only have the key and lock fob on the ring and nothing else so was never worried about rounding up the keys and taking them in to get their "Fix".

Use a burner email address. I do it for my Craigslist postings.

Thanks for that link, unfortunately unless I am missing something that site just uses the Carfax service (paid service per report or monthly) to provide the report and does not do any Vin coding of their own.
