does anyone know what color a 1963 Impala is painted from the factory, I have seen a couple of clean original cars and it looks like red oxide primer, if so when the body is sprayed is there overspray ? Normally I would paint the underbelly body color but on this one we are trying to stay stock.............thanks................Ken
Hi It should have a paint code on the firewall under the cowl on the driver side If you get me the code I can get you the color P- color T- trim something like that .
haha I just read my own post!,, sounds like a stupid question, I meant to say what did the factory paint the Underside in relation to the exterior. I have the body color , but i don't think the underside side was painted the same...........Thanks for the reply though!
I have a 65 SS and the whole interior was red prime...I was thinking it would of been black.. My whole under carrage was undercoated black but that could of been done aftermarket. But there was no paint under the undercoating.
