lately my trans have been acting up on me and before i take it to a shop i wanna see what could possibly be wrong with it, i have a 91 caprice with a 4 speed automatic 700R4 transmission, its shifts late at high RPMS, any body knows which parts would cause this.

Is it just 1-2? or is it all gears. Do you have to let off to shift, or does it just seem like it is really performance oriented suddenly. It could be as simple as the TV cable needing to be re adjusted. But normally when that happens, the trans will shift early. Worth looking at.

On a car I used to have, I misadjusted it. If I downshifted it would slide the back end, was really late shifting up too. Not good... Check fluid level first, if thats good check tv cable adjustment.

Its 2-3 and 3-4 gear, n when it shifts its hard like it kinda launches forward a lil bit, and I do have to let up on the gas and press it again for it to shift
