In order to do a tranny fluid change on a 2005 impala, do you need to remove the bolts on the pan or is there a bolt/plug that lets all the fluid out. When replacing the tranny pan gasket do you need to add any type of sealant.

Removing the pan is how you get the fluid out, DO NOT use sealant, torque all the bolts evenly. When you tighten them, go around the pan and tighten every other bolt, come around again and get the ones you skipped, as long as they are all even and snug you shouldn't have a leak. Don't overtighten, the bolts are weak and will break off.
