Though not in the market myself I do like the 08 Impalas and if I needed one I would most likely buy one. The SS is the only sports car that is designed also as a family car. I am not familur with the 3.5 engine but the 3.4 and 3.8 have been strong performers so it should be a good one. I like the fuel management configuration. Though it can run on E-85 from what I have seen I would not use it unless in a pinch. Right now the E-85 costs more an give less milage per gallon. The car will easily go 200K plus miles with proper maintenance. Always change the timing belt/chain at the proper miliage or year interval time. Hope you enjoy and have fun driving it.
