What's up everybody I am currently in the process of searching for an impala for myself. Hoping to get it in 2 months time. From what I read I see that if I'm getting something between 2001-2005 I should look for the 3.8L as opposed to the 3.4L. I'm also considering purchasing a 9C1 or 9C3 if I can find it. However I'm a little worried about the mileage that the 9C1 may have (i have seen some over 130k) and if there's just too much wear and tear on them. Sorry for the book I just wrote just looking for suggestions before I officially become part of the impala family

the price difference between a 3400 and 3800 impala will be nearly nothing. if you plan on doing go fast mods, then the 3800 is your friend. and yeah the 9C1s are probably going to be a little more beat up than another daily driver but the trannies in them are HD, if im not mistaken, which means they can take a little more beating. i say go 04-05 SS and call it a day.
