I decided to finally paint the front grill I think it turned out okay for my first attempt. I was thinking about doing a black bow tie but I'm not sure now and I also replaced the rear badge.

Sorry for the crappy pics the weather here in FL has been bad all week.

Small update:

- Changed stock bulbs to Super bright LED's in the interior and license plate.

- Reverse light bulbs changed to Long shot lighting LED's.

I LOVE the brightness at night :eek:k3:
Looks great. I've been considering something like this for my interior & reverse lights too. The stock lighting inside isn't that great, especially with the black interior. And with dark tint brighter reverse lights would be nice. I've never used LEDs before though. Are they just a replacement bulb in the same part number? Did you have to change anything in the wiring or is it plug-n-play?
Plug and play. The lower "feet" lights and map lights in the rear view mirrors are 194's. Dome lights are 578. (Need 3). Here is what I got from Amazon if your interested. They are not super bright, but put off a nice white light. Better than OEM halogen. Trunk is also 194.

I thought it turned out good. Mine has a shorter power connector and it connects in the middle of the strip as opposed to the end like your link showed. It has 3m tape on it. I just stuck it right beside the original trunk fixture. Here is closer pic.
That looks pretty good. I might end up getting one of those for my trunk light.

For reverse lights I went with these: 921/912 T15 LED replacement bulbs (1- White pair) | Longshot Lighting
I guess I got the last pair cause they been sold out since I bought them. They are a bit pricey but now my reverse lights are almost as bright as my headlights lol. They should have more in stock soon though.

I'm digging the fog bezels big time. But what happened to the retrofitted depos?
Thanks bro. I had to take off the retro depos to get realigned for the drop that's coming next :)
Sick! Can't wait for pics

The fog bezels remind me of my grille :eek:k3:
Yeah man I'm itching to get the springs on. They been sitting in my garage for the past week.

That really looks good! Love your Imp. I think I asked you before about dipping the chrome trim around the windows. On the outside I would tape about an inch out, but where did you tape on the inside where the black weatherstripping is?
Where did you get the fog lights? They look yellow, and my scheme is black and yellow. I think that would be a nice accessory. Looks great btw.

Thanks man. Didn't you already dip your window trim? On the inside are you talking about where the door pillars are?

He used a 3000k HID kit for the fog lights to get that yellow color

Thank you, the yellow fogs during the day is actually deeper in person. Its hard to capture the true color on camera. My setup isn't cheap, the hids are $150 but they are the best aftermarket hids period.

Look under hid kit section and you will see Morimoto elite hides.

If you want a cheaper kit you can try other companies just make sure you get the bulbs in 3000k.
@silver4door - no haven't dipped those yet. Should have before installing ventshades though. I'm talking about at the top of each window there is a 1/2 inch piece of black weatherstripping/trim between the window and the chrome. Just curious where you ran your tape up there.
Shoot the wife would shoot me spending $150 on lights. lol I am on the poor mans budget lol
EBay xentec kits. $30 with everything you need for a pnp install. I'd also recommend a $7 relay harness for the fog lights.
So you just take out the factory and the new ones plug in? And what is the relay harness for? Is that like a in line fuse? Sorry, I am a novice to electrical stuff. I hate electricity.
Essentially yes, but its a bit more complicated than just swapping a bulb. You also have a ballast that powers the bulb. The ballast uses more power than your stock wiring is capable of. The relay harness provides a fuse and larger wire to carry the current to the ballasts

Hmm it was so long ago when I did the trim. I probably dipped right over the weather strip. I'll take a look at my car later on to check.
