I was driving today and I kept hearing something which I realized was a warning chyme. When I inherited the car, the chymes were faint but thats another issue I have yet to figure out. On to the situation: The car was overheating. I noticed as I pulled to the side of the road, that not only was the car overheating but the power steering was not working either. I got out and noticed water was pouring out from around the water pump. I had the car towed home and began working on getting to the water pump. Once I got everything out of the way, to remove the water pump, I needed to get the belt back on properly so the tension would allow me to loosen the bolts on the water pump pulley. Try as I might, I could not figure out the routing of the belt! I have looked online and the one diagram I found, does not seem to work on my car. Can someone please provide me a routing diagram for a 2008 Impala LT 3.5 gas engine? Thanks!

This look about right? I see lots of configurations for impalas. One way to tell if it helps is the pulleys that have ribs will take the rib side of the belt and smooth pulleys take the smooth side.
That was it! Thanks a lot. I was able to go out and take care of business after looking at the diagram. Add two uber's and another water pump later, I'm back on the road.
