According to the Chilton manual, it should be doable without removing the cat. These are the steps listed:
- Remove the radiator air lower baffel and deflector.
- Remove the secondary air injection pipe.
- Remove the secondary air injection pump hose.
- Remove Secondary Air Injection Pump Bolts (Qty: 3)
- Disconnect the secondary air injection pump elactrical connector
Could be its wrong, but maybe it just takes some finagling to get it out.
