My 06 seems to ride a little rough. I can feel every bump in the road. The steering wheel does not shake side to side but the ride is just rough. What should I do for a smoother ride? When I go over a speed bump with the widows down I can hear the sound of the shocks hissing. Plus the car sits a little low in the front. Also I hear a slight tapping noise when my car is at a stop. When I rev up the engine the tapping noise does not increase in speed with the rpms. Honestly it sounds like something is loose but I cant hear it outside of the car only inside. Its not loud but I can hear it when I turn down the radio. Any suggestions on these two problems?

Sound like it is time to get new struts, the ticking noise is probably heat/air actuator going bad they make a knocking or tapping noise. Do search on forum for bad actuator.

Monroe Quick Struts or KYB Strut Plus are good options if you want the complete strut assemblies.

The "Tapping noise" that I had in mine drove me nuts. Same symptom as you said and it was the vent purge valve under the hood. Crazy noisy. Found it using a shop stethoscope. Bought a new one and it still made noise. Bugged me so I used a rubber electrical grommet in the hold down bolt hole and noise eliminated.
You might have the same issue. Cant hear it under the hood but the stethoscope will pin point it.

That's strange, all the 06-07's I work on already have a rubber grommet in there. I was wondering why I'd never had this issue...

3.5, but I would expect it to be the same part.

Not sure. Perhaps how the engine in mounted, etc, transmits the tapping to the interior and it bugged me. Could not hear it under the hood, but as stated, with stethoscope stupid crazy noisy. Apparently common. shrug
