would it be cheaper to just buy the repair quarter panels and other types of repair panels especially made for the 1980 impala, or be cheaper to make them.
im new at body work and i want to go the best in quality, but also the cheapest way to rebuild my car

To make a full body panel would require a lot of skill and money (parts and tools) and time. Just go to www.car-part.com and buy the panels you need from one of their suppliers. Most will tell you what condition they are in. In most cases just sanding them and repainting will be all they need. In rare cases you may need to either hammer out and/or use a body filler like Bondo and then paint.

You probably won't find any aftermarket quarters for it. they don't make floor pans or factory door skins. The parts industry has really washed their hands of our generation B bodied cars.
