Move the front seats all the way forward. Push aft on the rear seat bottom and lift up.

There are two metal loops that point down on the bottom front, and they hook on plastic barbs. You need to push the seat bottom aft far enough to clear the barbs.

The barbs are part of plastic inserts that mount in the floor. Don't be surprised if the insert(s) comes up with the seat bottom.

Thanks. That didn't quite work. There is a lever on each side that has to be lifted up. I started feeling around under there when that didn't work.

On a 2013 Chevrolet Impala how do you remove the whole back seat
You tube has instructional videos on seat removal. That’s how I learned.
It’s easy. Great ground points on the metal behind the seat back.

Why did they pull it out together?
It must’ve been the wrong vid or possibly a police car? The seat part comes out and those “levers” on each side are difficult to find but they’re in there. The back at its base holds the seat belt click things and once those are out you have to lift that whole back off a hook type secured state. You kind of pull the the bottom then lift. The back deck comes off after removing push pins and finagling it from its perch.
