My 2004 Impala SS was stored for 3 years and the rear rotors are grinding pretty bad. I tried driving short distances with the parking brake on, but have only driven 300+ miles since then.

Any tips, short of removing and turning the rotors. I may just upgrade to the zinc coated drilled aftermarket rotors if the problem persists.

Thanks!

I would venture a guess that your rear calipers are stuck.

A rusty rotor would clean itself off in 300 miles for sure.

If a stuck caliper is the culprit, your looking at new Calipers, New Rotors and New Pads.

Always replace a ground up rotor, and always replace the pads with the rotors, and always replace pads/rotors on both sides at once.
