I was had been experiencing a rattle near the front passenger side of the dash for a few days. It was quite loud and very annoying. I spent hours looking up what it could be and trying to find out where it was actually coming from. Sounded like under the dash near the vent. It would only make the noise while moving which I thought was strange. I was about to get tools to pull the dash apart yesterday. As I was walking back from the garage, I noticed a stem of a leaf sticking out of the hole in the black plastic below the windshield wiper on the passenger side. Pulled on the stem and a hole leaf came out. Took it for a spin and the noise is gone! Guess the wind would make the leaf rattle, and the noise was coming through the air vents so it sounded like it was inside the car. Just glad I found it before I pulled the dash apart. Sometimes you get lucky and its something really simple. Guess its a good reminder to check simple out of the ordinary things before putting in a lot of work.
