I have a 2006 impala. Last week my wife called from work as she lost power assist. I went down and found the leak, a 5" long piece of hose with regular clamps blew out. It is located on the passenger's side and can be seen if you remove the tire. It looked like standard low pressure fuel line. So I replaced it with Goodyear 200psi air line I had. I filled the system, turned lock to lock, rechecked and all seemed good. Byt there was some pressure in the reservoir. I drilled a .062 hole in the cap as some reported having this issue. All good, she went on a trip 300 miles no issues, drove to and from work no issues. Now today she said she lost assist again. I was to beat to look. Has anyone had these issues and what's my end game here. I thought maybe there is a plugged screen causing this, or a collapsed line. But hoping someone way more experienced can give me insight. The pressure, and the blowout make me think something is wrong. Please chime in , thanks.
