I thought it would be neat to see what people have had, not just what they own now. What do you think?

Great Idea!

First car was a z24 Cavalier in rough shape. Lifter was knocking and drivers side floor board was rusted through. Had plans to do some body work but, never happened. It went to the yard. Never got pictures of it

Second car was a 1992 Dodge Spirit 2.5l 4cyl Automatic. Gutless car but, was reliable and easy to work on. The car was given to me by my grandparents who bought it brand new in 92' and it was garage kept all of its life. No rust at all. I junked it after the brake lines started rusting out and the transmission was about to die. I towed my buddies jeep in order to get it to the yard. He rode the brakes the whole way (10mi). I had her wound up pretty good. That trans was done after that. I can't believe I even made it to the yard.

me and my gf had a 91 sundance, ass ugly and when the previous owner done an engine swap they must have let stevie wonder do the vacume lines, missed like crazy and wouldn't run over 50 but never failed on us. It also had the 2.5. It never left us stranded though. It ran great after fixing all the vacume lines and with Dodge, Plymouth, and Chrysler using basically the same design and engine in 90% of their cars at the time parts were a dime a dozen. I kinda miss it...

^^ I wish I would have just parked it in the barn and fixed it sometime down the road. It had a brand new radiator, new brakes and tires, as well as a freshly rebuilt top end. It overheated on me and blew head gasket and warped the head and cam. But, that was my fault for not pulling over.

During this time there were many vehicles that were very similar

Dodge Spirit
Plymouth Sundance
Dodge aries k
Even some dodge dakota's had the 2.5l

would have been a great sleeper project with the 2.5 turbo. Me and my dad had a 88 k car project. had the shelby z 2.5 turbo running 12lbs of boost. ran 8.5-9 in the 1/8th mile with a 50 hp cheater shot of nitrous. It was my moms daily driver lol. Then he got her a 86 trans am and a wrecked 95 corvette we pulled the lt1 from the vette and built a 383 stroker and dropped it in the trans am, along with the transmission and rear end. 450 hp on 93 octane. We never got to take the trans am to the strip sadly. Mom couldn't handle the power so she ended up with a 93 ford taurus wagon :giggle:

Damn thats a big difference

Did you know less than 1% of all dodge spirits were R/T's and came with a 2.5l turbo 5spd from the factory?

stock 22re 112 hp/143 lb-ft

my power was unknown since I was runnig a garret t3/t4 hybrid swap with 14lbs of boost over stock 7lbs of boost.

'84 Ford Escort light blue - no pics
'88 Ford Mustang White LX- I wish I had taken pics :(
'93 Chevy Camaro Z28 - I just sold it last February

Also there were various Buicks and Hondas, none of which were worthy of pics LOL
AND... I had a Plymouth Sundance that was turbo'd. Some jerk pulled out in front of me and it was totaled. It was actually pretty quick.

Great now that I went through my photobucket album I am missing my dodge spirit and my R/C cars.

Does 0-70mph in under 2 seconds and is fully waterproof. Man this thing was nasty and fun

^^ Sex money! Are those rear tires wider than the fronts? It looks like it from the first pic. What a clean beauty you have there! So, how long have you owned it?

Damn you scotty! Beat me to it again :giggle:

Other Cars

I never said I restored them all, lots of these pics are when I got the cars. It didn't matter to me though. When I was younger if it ran and I liked it. I drove it in style. These are when I lived in Colorado.
