Finally getting around to building a custom intake for the wifes car.
Wondering what you guy's used for a PCM box?
Was just going to make one from fiberglass but wondering if there is a better baseline to start with?

Did everyone buy the aftermarket box or is there something available at wal-mart or hardware store/salvage yard that would be a good start?

Might try to use a stock truck PCM holddown that I have laying around but would like to go ahead and have the PCM completely out of the elements just because.

I usually like to build rather than buy-also would rather keep the PCM enclosed as it is in the airbox.

Wonder why the one you listed is showing for a 98-2003?

My 2004 PCM is identical to the LS6 PCM in my 97 Yukon.
I've not seen a 2003 pcm, wonder what the differences are?

Ive seen lots of people use zip ties to tie it down after insulating the bottom of it. Few use bungee cords. Enclosed though will be a toughy, I know a blazer pcm tray will fit, but I can really think of anything to build an enclosed homemade pcm tray with.

It's listed that way for the GP guys, they had a body style change in 04, we're 2 yrs behind them ;)

the 04 pcm looks different from the 03's on the GPs, on our cars, externally its the same
