My rear fender was repainted and the assholes didn't even remove the Impala emblem when they did the CC. It depends on the quality of the paint job. If you're local, check it out. It is kind of odd that a 2013 had paint repair that large though.

How soon it will need repainting will depend on a lot of factors.

Are you in FL or somewhere else?

If it was repainted for a scratch then I would expect better longevity that if it was more serious repair that had areas sanded to bare metal, once the factory galvanizing is disturbed it is gone and will never hold up like original

Quality of workmanship is HUGE, I too have seen trim painted around.

Unfortunately I'm about as far away from Florida as you can get in the Lower 48 and not live in Seattle.

Maybe someone doesn't like Hertz in Florida.

Free, no-extra-charge paint job on Impala emblem? What a deal!

If that's the case, I would look closer to you. I'm sure a nice 2012 is easy to be found nearby, no?

Have you looked at transport costs? I would rather spend an extra $1k for a car I could sit in than gamble on "saving $1k but spending that on transport.
