Hello All,

So, my '09 3.9 has an oil leak just above the oil filter. A couple different shops said the Oil Pressure Switch is notorious to leak after sometime. My question is, where is it located? The part is cheap enough, and if I can change or check it myself without paying someone to do it, I would obviously rather do that. Anyone have a schematic or video of how to locate and/or change this? TIA

Yes, its right near the oil filter, $50 at the local GM dealer, not too bad, I think I had to remove the plastic under the bumper to get good access to it.

--------However, mine still leaked after replacing it.-----------

Turns out the gasket for the oil filter adapter is notorious for leaking, mine had a distinct tear in it, I knew that was the problem. This is the thing that screws into the block, the oil filter screws on to it.

The Chevy dealer has new style updated gaskets that are better.

Replace that as well, both are know to leak on those cars. Tell you the truth, the sensor just needs a new O-ring if you wanna find a good high temp one(red), should be fine.

Don't go to aftermkt, stick with the Delco stuff, Imo.
