Hmmm... deeply considering this. So just how many are planning on going so far, because we should make this a forum meet if there's enough of us interested...

I am interested as the 27th is my birthday, so would be kinda cool to have a meet on my birthday...

I think we should try to organize a forum meet-up at this event. We can make this thread the "headcount" thread if you will, so we can get an idea of how many are going. In order to do this accurately, we will need a clear statement of intent. I'll go first:

I WILL be attending the event.

Jeff, I too will agree that making this the head count thread a good idea. I also have an idea/suggestion for those of us that DO wind up going:
* I was thinking we all get there early, so we should all get there quicker and we can all roll in as a group...* The other reason I was thinking earlier, was because traffic shouldn't be too bad that morning. Th other reason, is we get there early is we can see all he cars and stuff before it starts getting late into the morning, and traffic becomes a nightmare.

And as another clear statement of intent:

I am GOING, and WILL be there!!!

I agree. I work until the wee hours the night before, and am just going to stay up through the show, so I was planning on getting there pretty much as they open

It does state that we must arrive as a group by 10:30. So we should try and make plans to all meet up somewhere nearby and all roll in together as a group... would be a little more cool if we all rolled in as a group any way, the herd all show up at one time!

If we were to do that, where could we meet up before hand to all roll in at the same time?

Not sure, but I'll find a McDonalds or something we can meet at and post it up here

Okay, here's a map of the area of the meet. Where the red "pin" is, that's where the meet is being held. As you can see, there's a McDonalds right around the corner. There is also a gas station there, so we could fuel up, grab some breakfast, then hit the show.

deadline for head count & entry fee collection getting close...

Jeff, that is awesome of you to have found this for us. THANKS!!!

So now I am asking who else besides Jeff (RYD SLO), KJ23_2011Impala, and myself are going to this with us??? We really would like to make this an ImpalaForums.com meet, and would like more of you guys to join us If you can... The 14th is coming fast now, and we would like to have a more solid and accurate head count for this, so we know how many spots we will need to reserve for this and we can have one area for us as an entire group...

So I would like to ask anyone in the nearby area who has made an interest in going to PLEASE make it official here, so we can have an official head count. Also Jeff, how are we going to deal with the collection of cash in advanced for this??? Let me know, and I can PayPal you whatever the cost is for my share...

Thanks guys, and hope to have and see a lot more of the nearby members of this group at the event!!!

The cost is $5, and since we've got such a small group, I'll just pre-pay it, and you can throw me a $5 bill on the day of

Hey Jeff and Korey, I just got news last night as I was getting out of work that my grandmother had just passed away yesterday. So more than likely I will wind up going back home to Providence next weekend for the funeral instead of going to the show/meet with you guys... sucks as I was looking forward to this, but family matters come first. Let's try and set something up for a meet sometime soon somewhere else...

And Jeff, send me a PM with your PayPal address so I can square up with you for the $5...

I'm sorry to hear that Josh. Family comes first.

Dont worry about the $5, I have yet to pay it (the deadline was extended a few days).

Our condolences, Josh.

As a CPT rep, I remember from last year that there are plenty of food joints/shops in the surrounding area that Jeff pointed out, to meet up beforehand if you want.
I'll be working the meet so I'll be there parked with CPT from like 7 a.m. (!) onward but I'll be working parking so I may be able to direct whoever from the forum comes by to better-than-average spots if possible.
Or, if a handful of us/you go, try to reserve spots ASAP with a headcount.
It would be incredibly awesome if a bunch of 'palas came out.

Hey Jeff, I think that would be fine.
If you want to pay the club prez direct you can stop by the meeting Thursday at 6:30.
I won't be back on campus until late-ish Sunday (4/20) night but I'll be around next week for class as usual.

Thanks, but we apparently 15 spots is the minimum to preregister. Which is fine, because I still don't have a ccompletely accurate headcount.

For anyone interested in coming with us next weekend, I will be at the McDonalds posted from 7:30 until 8:30 or 9 when we'll roll in.

I may still wind up coming to this next weekend. My grandmother's funeral services won't be next week for sure, so I will be able to attend still... I'll start looking at how long the trip is and how long it'll take me to get there and stuff this week. So Jeff, I'll have that $5 spot for ya when we meet up.
