X2 on the fuel pump, and remember to grab a new fuel filter while you're at it, it's just better to make sure ya don't get any gunk plugging it up either...also, probably wouldn't hurt to do a decent tune up, plugs, wires, air filter, tranny flush and filter as well.
If you still have the hesitation/low power, throw a code reader on it..
I've got the 4.3 in mine, and going up really steep hills, it kicks down a gear, but otherwise has decent cruising power, never have driven one with the bigger V8's...yet...:wink:
