Hello,

Just wanted to introduce myself, recently joined this forum in hopes of finding a good place to possibly help someone else or ask questions. I have a 1973 Caprice Classic convertible and the wife has a 1996 Impala SS. We also have a few 1960's Ford full size cars. I've owned my Caprice Classic for 25 years and the poor thing is in a state of disrepair of which recently I've been lucky enough to be afforded time and funds to slowly fix the old girl back up. The wife loves her '96 Impala SS and is her daily driver still.

Cheers

Thank you 04Imp38 and Joes74challenger for the warm welcome. Most kind indeed.

I do not have any glamour shots per se of the '96 and '73. I have hundreds of photos of them being worked on. However I did scrounge these up.

This is the wifes Impy. It gets driven about 70 miles per day.

This is a recent picture of my Caprice Classic. The other week I just finished installing a new rear axle, refreshed the TH400, rebuilt the entire braking system and a host of other little things.

Cheers

FWIW, My browser is not showing the pics. It says it "does not trust this site because it uses a certificate that is not valid for galaxieworks.com."

Hello all,

Thank you all kindly for the welcome and kind comments on the cars, although the convertible is quite rusty.

In regards to the pictures am not sure what's happening. I linked them back to our paid domain of galaxieworks.com and using Palemoon browser they display normally. I even reduced the size seeing if that would help.

Now I did try viewing this forum on my older Firefox browser and the pictures didn't show up. <scratching head>

I use the same techniques when posting on the Ford Forums regarding our galaxie 500, LTD and XL and the pictures display in either browser. <more scratching of the head>

This has me befuddled as I'd like to share more pics of repair and modifications I did to the cars. Thought someone would find it interesting maybe but it sounds like some may not be able to view them.

Honestly not sure what to do at this point.

Thank you for your time.

Cheers

You can upload the pics here. The forum is set up to automatically display them full size, so you only need to upload them - no need to point to them once uploaded.

Just scroll down below the edit window to "manage attachments". Click on that and "browse" to a pic. After browsing, make sure you scroll all the way to the right and hit "upload".

HTH.

Hello Doug,

Thank you for replying back. One question, if I upload the pics do they just appear in a group at the end of the posting or can I embed them in the post between sentences and or paragraphs?

The reason I ask is because I like to post a lot of pictures and it makes sense to embed them as I type.

Here's a link to a Ford forum I use that graciously allowed me to post the rear axle install on the Caprice Classic.

https://www.fordforumsonline.com/threads/replacing-a-non-9-axle-with-a-ford-9-axle.14425/

I'd like to be able to post in this fashion if possible.

Cheers

Good question. But I have to admit, I haven't fiddled with it enough to have ascertained that. They always appear at the bottom of my post, and I haven't delved into. But I do understand how handy it is to be able to write alongside the pic you're describing.

Hopefully, someone else will chime in with a definitive answer.

When I get a chance to play with it some, I'll try and post a better answer.
