Greetings from Green Bay. I'm new to this whole FWD scene. So far its been a pleasure. I am a retired Master Diesel Mechanic, Navy Veteran. I've done a lot of wrenching in my life. My first car was a 1968 VW Fastback. I was 15 and managed to rebuild all the necessary things until I turned 17 and received my New Jersey driver's license.
Anyway, I just bought a 2005 base model Impala. To go along with my 1970 Impala Convertible.
I guess what I want to know is, will the 4.3 from my S-10 be able to be shoehorned into the engine hole?

What is in it now? Would think a supercharged 3.8lwould be easiest since it was an option a year later.

Supercharged 3.8s are pretty common, used in a handful of cars. Take a drive to Neenah and wander Gibson's.

Is the car originally a 3.4l car?

It is an original 3.4ltr.
A Jersey boy stuck in Wisconsin. We’re not the only ones. I’ve run into several of us. What brought you here?
