I traded my 2018 V6 Camaro in for the 2019 V6 Impala LT that's loaded. GM forced my hand to trade since Jan 2020 is the end of production. A big thank you goes to Caddy asking GM for a stay of execution to transfer tech to smaller sedans and SUVs. Impala was spared of March 2018 demise too.

I'm a Buick guy, but could never warm up to LaCrosse since it had the stop start engine. So I stayed with the Chevy line. This is my 3rd after 2 previous Camaros, 2013 Vert and 2018 Coupe.

Weird thing I discovered yesterday, in the Impala brochure my wheels show as 19 inches. I went out to measure the diameter, and in fact 19 inches! My window sticker says 18 inch alloys. The 19's are standard on the premier version. I have a loaded LT though.

Did you measure them, or look at the size on the tire? The diameter of the wheel edge to edge isn't the actual size, it's the bead to bead diameter, which you wouldn't be able to measure with a tire on it.

That's a great looking car. I hate it that GM is discontinuing it next year. I still love my 2015 LTZ. It still looks as good to me as it did 5 years ago when I got it.

235/50 R18, Why?
The R stands for Radial Tire, the 18 stands for 18 inch diameter wheel size. The other two numbers represent sidewall and tread sizes to put it in simple terms.

Hope you enjoy your Impala. I have had my 2014 LTZ since February and have only one regret so far.......not buying one sooner!

Thanks Team Impala!! I'm cool with 18's for a better ride quality.


The Impala is back at Chevy to address a few delivery issues, Tint and under front bumper valance, drive side, loose. Hope it's not broken & have to wait for a part.
