Hi, silly question I'm sure, but I am stumped. I need to replace the tail/brake light in a 67 Impala, but I can not figure out how to get the bulb out. I have attempted to twist the receptacle out, but I don't want to exert too much force. I am new to classic car repair, and I was pretty certain this would be an easy fix. What am I missing?

Thanks in advance,
Lance
P.S. I have ordered the repair manual, but I didn't want to wait.

Could you post a pic? I might be able to help if I saw what it looked like.

For those that attempted to help, thank you. I was trying to twist the fixture out, and found that it is just pressed into the housing. So I have replaced the bulb.
