...What is that? When I take off from a red light there is a sound like water swooshing (like pouring water) under the center of the dash area. We just had MAJOR front end work (my husband hit a pole & damn near totalled it) and it didnt make that noise before the repairs. Any ideas out there?

Might check the radiator coolant level. It may have an airlock inside the coolant system. Or might have the heater core connection tubes checked for crimps or unusal bends where there should not be. Or possibly could be a cracked or broken vacume line or fitting under the dash some where behind the airconditioner control panel
