The one from Jegs is a Blow through Carb set up, I dont think vorteck offers a complete kit for our cars anymore. Its something you would have to piece together yourself I believe

Super chargers are over rated. They create a host of issues that must be dealt with. Plus, the Centrifugal style blowers don't really add their power until you really start to wind the engine up.

NA is a much more straight forward power udgrade in my eyes. Plus.... going from bone stock, to a super charger? There are a few steps in there to gain some power that will still work with a blower setup, and make the car much quicker. This engine responds very well to bolt-ons. The Roadmasters in the sig, were nearly full weight, and both still had the stock heads, stock cam. The heads had never been off.

I can't recall the site at the moment, but not too long ago I was looking at a site that deals superchargers, they had an impala on there with over 800hp. Of course it had all forged internals, and a low compression ratio, but you can't get that kind of power NA without nitrous or alcohol.

For the sake of your car and wallet I recommend forgoing a SC. In fact, I personally wouldnt buy a 94-96 SS unless it was all stock. I know Im only one man, but a lot of people would consider a car like that more valuable stock as opposed to modded.

I see what you guys are saying. And yes that was the super charger I was talking about. But I hear a lot of different opinions on SC so I think Im going to just do mods like CAI and exhaust and heads for the engine etc and no supercharger, I dont plan on selling it just making it a beautiful beast

Forget a supercharger... you can get some great power from a set of highly ported heads and matching cam w/ all the supporting mods of course.

I recommend Advanced Induction or LE.
