I thought it would be fun to have a topic about all the Impalas we've owned (if you've owned more than one) over the years.

Okay, here goes...I've had 5 Impalas (yes, I love them dearly). Here are mine in the order of ownership (all used):

1. 2000 Impala LS; burgundy with grey leather. What a way to enter the world of 'Impala-dome'. I felt like a million bucks in this car. It was my 1st car to ever have heated seats. I had pretty much good luck with it in the 2+ years of ownership.

2. 2005 Impala base; charcoal grey with grey cloth. I purchased this car when it was only a few months old (28K miles). Right away, the FM module needed replacing, as did the receiver for the key fob. After driving my previous LS with the 3800, the engine/lack of power in this car was difficult for me to get used to. Needless to say, I only kept it for a bit over a year.

3. 2005 Impala LS; black with grey leather. Back to an LS! But not just any old LS, this Impala had the (somewhat) rare Sport Appearance Package. Gosh did I love this car. One major disappointment however, when it was merely 5 years old, the AC condenser went. I never had the money to get it fixed. Would spend 3 long summers without AC. Overall, I had this car for 5.5 years.

4. 2012 Impala LS; silver with grey cloth. I wanted to dive into the world of this next generation, to get a taste of the much-heralded LFX engine (I love the power of the 302 horsepower!). I found it when it was 4 years old, and it only had 15K miles. Even had the column shift. I got 2 trouble-free years out of this one.

5. 2014 Impala LT Limited (my current car); maroon with black/tan interior (cloth). After driving a 13 Malibu (a car that I particularly did not care for) after my last Impala, I was yearning to get back into an Impala. I wanted an LT, to have a few more options than my 12 LS had. I'm hoping to get many years of enjoyment out of this Impala. It is by far my favorite one out of all that I have owned.

My Impalas and some related cars

1966 Caprice b-body, white, 4-door, 327 w/power-glide. Had belonged to dealer's wife. Bought it in 1981 on the same lot where it was originally delivered new. Had old style rear window blower/defroster. My dad helped me re-do the rear package tray. We were able to relocate the defroster _and_ install four 6x9 speakers :) Sold it in 83, IIRC.

2002 Impala, silver, purchased new. Stripped down model with no ABS, but had deluxe head unit with both cassette _and_ CD. Sold it to junk yard (still running) last December with over 200k miles.

2002 Impala, white, bought used for son's first car circa 2008. Put kick-a$$ stereo in it :) Sold to junk yard (still running) last December with over 200k miles.

2007 Impala SS, red. Bought in 2008. It's been lots of fun. Now needs some engine work, but plan on getting it going again, hopefully in the next few months.

2013 Impala, white, with 3.6L LFX. Bought used ~2016. Runs great but needs some body work thanks to an uninsured accident :(

Related (w-bodies):
2000(?) Olds Intrigue, silver, with 3.5 L LX5 Shortstar 90° V6. Bought used for oldest daughter's first car. She wrecked it, twice, second time totaling it :( Never did much work on it, but the rear arm-rest made a perfect spot to install a sub-woofer :)

1999 Lumina, red, with 3.8L V6. Middle daughter's first car. Put kick-a$$ stereo in it (pic below). Pops wrecked that one sending it to its demise :(

Wow, nice list. My 2000 LS had both cassette & CD.

I had a 1999 Lumina LS. You must have had the LTZ, if it had the 3.8L.

Nice looking Impalas. Your 2004 looks like a base model, but perhaps I'm mistaken.

1) 2008 LT, silver with light gray leather bench seat w/ dual power & heat, 3.9L, column shift. My wife's daily driver 75 mile round trip. The best long trip riding & driving car we've ever had. Totaled November, 2014 with 150K miles, other drivers fault, what a shame.

2) 2015 LTZ 9th gen, silver topaz with medium gray interior, loaded with everything except adaptive cruise control, 38K trouble free miles. I absolutely love this car. What a beauty.
