oh cool....I think I have to rethink my position on that stuff. It's a smooth finish, I've never seen it quite like that..

powdercoating can be costly, but is known to be a strong bond. the reason i didnt powdercoat my rims is because i drive my car everyday so i couldnt take my rims off for an extended period of time. the plasti dip is cheap, easy to use, and if you want to take it off all you have to do is peel it off like a big screen protector on a phone screen.
thank guys I appreciate the compliments

haha, actually, I've been wanting to ask you, as the only one I know that's recently had both gens, what are your thoughts on the 7th gen vs 8th gen? Looking for a somewhat unbiased comparison...

well my old one was a 2000 so it was kinda old which of course has its downsides, but also it was a base, so even though its the "same car" its really not. theres things i like and dislike about each, but I'd say i like the new one better. anything specific you were wondering about?

no, not really, just curious, I know they are basically the same in size, and with exception to engines, pretty much the same underneath, I guess it came down to looks and style, that is only the real difference...like you said, there are goods and bads about both, so it's probably a to each his own kind of thing...I just didn't want a "well I've got this one so it's the best" kind of comments. You hit it how I expected..

well i actually never really liked the look of the 8th gens. but when they were trying to sell it to me, i considered everything i could do to it and i considered the engine and interior ( the two things i hated most about the 7th gen) Also this one gets me sooo much attention. no idea why. but everyone allllways stares. i saw a guy take a pic of my car at an intersection, the people at the carwash tell me its nice. the other day i was cruisin one over by some 2-3 million dollar mansions and theres was a lady out there gettin her mail n she goes "wow thats a really nice car. what is that?" hahaha so I'm lovin the new one lol. but everytime i see a silver 7th gen I miss my baby lol

haha, everybody likes them cause it's sleek and sexy! there isn't a line on them that doesn't stop from one end to the other! That's why I like them, I'm a whore for the smooth and sleek lines. Your eyes never stop traveling when looking one over. Everything blacked out and debadged only adds too that too.

I've just been looking hard at the 7th gens and noticing they have such chiseled looks, it's got a toughness to it that I also like, just trying to figure out if it's worth dealing with all the other pitfalls, I look through the 7th gen section and wonder with all the postings why anyone would bother lol, not looking to pick a fight with them or anything, but they seem to have a lot of problems, spanning a great number of aspects...with these, there's the DOD, and the rear camber....I dunno, can't really think of anything else, I dunno if they are just newer and that's why, or what...they do have a lot of cheap plastic in them, which I hate, but...I dunno..
