Ive been looking around online, after seeing a friend of mines jeep, for some LED head lights to install on my 02 impala. Has anyone had any luck finding them or has anyone done this mod ?
I love the way my friends LEDs improve driving at night and would love to do the same for my impala.
Ive found some online but they surely dont look like they'll fit in place of the factory head lamps. Also and questioning the "plug and play" ability of the wiring.
anyone have any information?

I have beamtech 9006 LEDs in my 2004 and they were plug but not play. The wiring was fine, it plugged right in. The base is a different story. I have not found a base yet on the headlight where I have not had to cut away the plastic on the headlamp housing itself. Mine are cut away currently.
I would check out the profile peak 9006 or the morimoto 2-stroke 2.0 9006. Those have a better base design that may work. Other than that all the cheapo Chinese ones won’t work without cutting the housings.
9006 is the low beam.

I ended up saying "F-IT" and bought a pair from Ebay that were cheap enough that if they didnt work I didnt mind losing the cash for the chance. They legit plugged and played and fit perfectly into the head light housing. I did have to cut the rubber dust boot on the rear side of the headlight however. (I cut a VERY small circle in each of them, this allowed the LED lamps assembly a bit more room in the rear. It was a tight fit however I still put a bit of silicone on them to make sure water doesnt get inside.)
Im happy with them and they are bright as hell... the only thing I dont like is when I start the car (maybe every 3rd or 4th time) the "highbeam out" light kicks on for 30 seconds or so on the gauge cluster. I read that you can get rid of that by adding a resistor into the circuit but im not that anal lol... the light goes out and so far the lights have not let me down.
