I have an 04 SS Supercharged. Initially, the transmission slipped a little when you had a lead foot. I had a transmission flush, new fluid, new screen etc; but that actually made it worse. I put in that tranny fix stuff from Walmart to see what would happen, and it fixed that problem short term. Eventually the slipping came back. Finally after a few more months, now my transmission won't go in any forward gear or in reverse.
1) Is it time for a new transmission, or is this a torque converter problem?
2) If it is transmission time, should I just get that transmission rebuilt? Or is there a performance transmission to be had for under $2K?
