So I was driving around the other day and noticed a nice looking 8th Gen impala ss. It sounded very good. I got up close to it and noticed that the exhaust was two tips running out of the middle of the bumper. Has anyone ever seen something like this and how is it possible? Thanks

I think he means that if you do this, is there interference with the gas tank on the Impala. Stock exhaust goes around the sides of it, if you go through the center, do you have to cut a tunnel through the tank or go under it (enough ground clearance?) is basically what he's asking.

I know the Corvettes have two gas tanks, one on each side so that the exhaust can go through the center, so that may be adding to the confusion as well. :eek:k3:

Why do all that work? All they do is go along the outside (where it is now) then at the end, do bends so that it comes out the middle, if I'm not mistaken. So, in theory, you'd just bring it to a shop and say you wanted the exhaust routed to the center. You could do some cool stuff with the bumper, a little fiberglass work to make it look nice.

I don't know why I didn't think of coming back around the back side and then through the middle of the bumper cover. I guess I was too busy putting myself in his head to think about it fully. :bang: :giggle: :yahoo:
