Richard Petty Driving Experience helps pave the way

around this years National Gathering

Ever wonder what it would feel like blistering a High Banked Oval at speeds of up to 160 miles per hour? Have you ever watched your favorite NASCAR Driver on TV, and said to yourself “Man I would really like a chance to do that.”

This August at the 2013 National Event, your dreams can become a reality. CarISSMA is happy to announce they have joined forces with Richard Petty Driving Experience to offer ISSCA members a chance to Ride-Along in a 600 horsepower NASCAR Race Car around the High Banks of Charlotte Motor Speedway.

During the weekends activities Richard Petty Driving Experience will be offering their three lap Ride – Along to ISSCA members for $79.00 ($109.00 value).No reservations are required. Ride- Alongs are offered on a first come, first serve basis, and National Event credentials will need to be provided at the RPDE at-track merchandise trailer to take advantage of the special discount.

3) Sam Bass Gallery – The First Officially Licensed Artist of NASCAR, Sam Bass’ list of career highlights is long and distinguished. His artistic influence can be seen in every sector of the racing community. At his craft for 29 years, Bass has been traveling in the fast lane, while providing fans with a visual documentary of the sport. Sam’s Gallery is an outstand History of NASCAR.
4) Hendrick MotorSports – Race Shops and Museum – # 88 Dale Earnhardt Jr. (Steve Letarte) # 24 Jeff Gordon– (Alan Gustafson) / # 48 Jimmie Johnson (Chad Knaus) / # 5 - Kasey Kahne (Kenny Francis) This NASCAR race team is the largest team with over 600 employees. We will visit three buildings on our VIP tour and learn about the history of this race team.

Our first stop on the PM Tour will be:​

1) The Dale Trail – This is a History of NASCAR, and of the Earnhardt's
2) Curb MotorSports Museum - This museum represents two business interests and passions of owner Mike Curb. A long-time motorsports enthusiast, Curb is the owner and founder of a country music record label “Curb Records”. Over the years, Mike Curb has owned cars driven by NASCAR legends including Dale Earnhardt, Richard Petty, Dale Jarrett, Ron Bouchard and Johnny Sauter and more. The exhbits reside in a 20,000-square-foot museum. The museum showcases NASCAR, IndyCar and modified race cars, as well as LeAnn Rimes’ very first car, a 1995 black Dodge Viper. Two rare glimpses of NASCAR history are on display – the #2 car Dale Earnhardt drove in his first Winston Cup Championship and the #43 car Richard Petty drove in his 199th Winston Cup win – sister-car to the one Petty drove in his 200th Winston Cup win that now resides at the Smithsonian Museum. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
North Carolina Music Hall of Fame - Owned by Mike Curb with Curb Records, this is a private Museum and it was officially opened on June 1, 2009. A few of the museum exhibits including Charlie Daniels, Nina Simone, Chairman of the Board, Clyde McPhatter, Donna Fargo, Thelonius Monk, and Victoria Livengood and more North Carolina Music artist.

Rick Hendrick (YES that HENDRICK) accepted my invitation to the event,and is Bringing HIS Beast Impala, the Jon Moss 510 car he purchased in 2009, and his newly Hendrick Performance Built 2013 LS7 Caprice PPV.

And as added bonus we are also having the event covered by Cruise Control Xtreme, they are going to do a show on the event, and also produce a 2 disc DVD set for those who are interested in purchasing them

You can’t get anymore Xtreme than this. ISSCA is pleased to announce their partnership with Cruise Control Xtreme and Phoenix Media Productions for the 2013 Impala Nationals. CCX hosts “Redline” Ryan Seavey and Vince “The Taz” Monticciolo will be with us for the ENTIRE 2013 Impala Nationals located here in Cabarrus County/Concord, NC aka “Where Racing Lives.”

Cruise Control Xtreme is Charlotte’s original hot rod build show with over 3+ million local viewers airing weekly every Friday night @ 7:30 p.m.. CCX is owned and operated by Phoenix Media Productions based in Fort Mill, SC and is the sole production company for CCX.

“Having Redline & The Taz Man with us helps ISSCA put this years event over the top. I am thrilled to have them with us to “Cruise” through this years event to make it even more Xtreme,” stated ISSCA Public Relations Officer Robert Wagoner.
