The couple in the 1971 polaroid photo are deceased. I'm putting together a memorial for the surviving family.

Can anyone help identify the model year from the scan of the polaroid photo?

Thanks in advance.

Somewhere in the early 60's maybe 63. Some one with more knowledge of these great cars will more likely chime in.

Yeah I want to say somewhere in the 1960's. Do you have a picture of the front?

Sorry, the only available photo is the one posted. I was hoping someone familiar with the era might ID it from the stylistic chrome line on the rear quarter.

I agree it is a 1964 Impala. I'm surprised this is questioned, this particular year is arguably the most famous year for classic Impalas. I thought it would be more recognizable.

factory 'color' for that year?

Do you know what the sales lit called that color?

Admittedly, the colors on the 35 year old polaroid are washed out, but can you telll which factory color it is? Given the circumstances, I'm pretty sure the vehicle would have its original paint (excepting the lightning bolt and LaBamba signage)

Yes a 64 Impala I know most of the Impala Belair Biscane Caprice from from 1961 to 1979 and most of the 80's some 90's.
