...to soon for the original battery to die? I tried to charge it with another car's battery and nothing happened? I have on star but they can't diagnose the problem because the car won't start up? Could it be something besides the battery since everything else is still under warranty? that is suppose to be IT WILL NOT CRANK UP

Any battery can die at any time. Most OEM batteries last 5-6 years, but that can all be affected by your driving habits, stereo modifications, a manufacturing defect, or maybe even a draw on the battery. With 32,000 miles on a 2005, it is quite possible the battery is dead.

The car is still under your 3 year/36000 mile factory warrenty. Contact your local Chevrolet dealer for service under warrenty.Have the battery slow charged and when the reading shows full, have a load test done for 12 seconds. Prior to doing this, the volts should show 12.8. When the load test is being performed, the volt gauge on the tester will drop to 8 volts and when the load switch is released, the volts will go back to 12.8. If this does not happen, then the battery is weak or bad. Once the car is running, check for running voltage. Should read 14.2 On GM cars the problem might be traced to the 2 battery cable bolts at the battery and they may have to be replaced(approx cost for the bolts, $8).

You have not clearly said whether the engine cranks ok, but won't start up and run. A shop technician would say "it cranks ok but won't start", meaning the battery is probably fine and it's running the starter motor properly making that whir, whir, whir noise characteristic of normal cranking.

Does any of the other electrical items work? Radio, lights , wipers ,horn? There should be a few larger fuses that deal with the start/crank system that may need to be checked. If it won`t crank at all with a boost , time to call the dealer and tell them to come get it and fix it. Thats what your warranty is for. should be a min 5 years on the battery from gm.
