I would recommend not pulling into a parking spot head on.

Your reverse system in the transmission is gone. ChevyChugg is correct about not getting yourself into a parking space that requires you to back up.

The only fix is to have the tranny torn down and repaired, best to have it overhauled. Now this tranny could go a long time in forward gears as it is now or it could give out soon, no one knows for sure.

Yeah, I think it's probably toast. Long shot, make sure your shifter is adjusted correctly, but i doubt it.

Seriously though, I had a friend who drove a car with no reverse for years...and I had a Saturn that lost reverse and then lost all forward gears about an hour later. you never know.

In high school my buddy had a '70s Toyota 4 door with no reverse. We called it the Flintsones car and everyone would open the door and put a leg out to back it up, lol...
